Social Saturdays lights up St Kilda every weekend at Hotel Barkly

Want to get your boogie on?! Make your way down to Hotel Barkly for #socialsaturdays. I got to experience the St Kilda nightclub firsthand at the Social Saturdays launch party.

The venue was classy with swanky club style décor, tall back loungy couches and chairs, and a sizeable outdoor balcony. The room was buzzing with socialites mingling, sipping on cocktails, and busting moves on the dance floor.

After a few champagnes, I too was ready to hit the dance floor! I befriended the DJ (as I often do a nightclubs and parties) over my request for a Justin Bieber song (ok, guilty pleasure). He kindly informed me that he did not have any of The Biebs jams and that he was limited strictly to house music, followed by R & B for the later part of the night. Fair enough – Social Saturdays had a classy reputation to uphold.

I didn’t mind – as long as the music has a beat I can dance. The night went a bit like this: dance, drink, selfie, repeat. That’s what clubs are all about, right? My plus one and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the fantastic night put on by Social Saturdays and Hotel Barkly.

Social Saturdays have some great DJs lined up, so head down to St Kilda and get your groove on!
