February 2016: The Best of the Best

We’ve scoured Melbourne’s social scene, and we’ve tracked down our top picks for February, just for you. Without further ado:

Courtyard Cantina: Every Friday in February – “Delight your senses with DJ’s, pop-up bars, live music and authentic foods from around the globe this summer. Taste the flavours of our multicultural metropolis and feast on culture in the museum’s courtyard.”

Pause Fest: 8-14 February – A week of technology, possibilities and plans.”Pause and join the next wave of visionaries at Pause Fest 2016. At Pause we don’t ask what’s next, we figure out how, and we’re deciding when.”

Bike Rave: 13 February – Bikes, sightseeing and music? Bike Rave is a big party on two wheels around our city at night. Plus it’s free!

St Kilda Festival: 14 February – St Kilda Fest is back for another year – Australia’s biggest free music festival in the beautiful surrounds of St Kilda. It’s more than just music, it’s culture, entertainment, workshops and awesome views.

…this Thing: 14 February – What is more romantic than a post-apocolyptic musical revival within Docklands? “If you do one thing this Valentine’s, it had better be this thing.”

Morning Gloryville: 17 February – Mornings are the new nights at 1000 Pound Bend. “After the sell-out parties of 2015…come and mussel in on the action, shake your jellyfish and coral your mates into a school of rave-fish for some of our original early morning party action!”

A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ on the Maribyrnong: 17 February – “Performed at sunset on the beautiful banks of the Maribyrnong River, this free event is set to become one of the hottest dates on Melbourne’s summer arts calendar. Bring your picnic blanket and a hamper full of goodies. Lie back with friends and family to enjoy ‘The Bard’s’ most delightful, beguiling, and saucy romantic comedy.”

White Night: 20 February – White Night is back to enlighten your night. From 7pm to 7am there’s something for everyone as our city buildings lights up with illuminations and installations.

Dîner en Blanc: 27 February – A secret dinner where guests wear all white and dine together under the stars. We loved this last year, so make sure you get in super early for your tickets.

Escape from Pentridge Prison: 27 February – “Focusing on intelligent electronic music, we will provide you the industries finest artist. Each with their own spin on sound and offering you something new that you may have never heard before.”

MARCS Festival: 28 February – “MARCS is a celebration of what Melbourne is essentially about its world famous food and beverage establishments, the ever-changing music scene and the famous painted laneways.”
