As we do each month, we scoured 1000s of events to handpick our top 10 for January 2016, enjoy!

Urban Oasis: 7-10 January – “For four days and nights we will be turning the Section 8 space into a sandy sun soaked oasis. Trucking in several tonnes of sand, beach umbrellas and that fine January weather; we’re transforming our concrete jungle into a tropical paradise for this very special event.”

Stacks On Festival: 9 January – “Stacks On, Melbourne’s happiest day party, is Celebrating its 5th Anniversary. On top of performers, mindblowing set design and games at every corner, we have hand selected our most epic line-up yet.”

So French So Chic: 10 January -“A giant party, a perfect picnic and a day to remember surrounded by friends, music, food, wine and joie de vivre. This summer you’re invited to get lost among it all, and find yourself so Frenchy, so chic.”

Sunset Sounds: 10 January – “Bring your picnic rug and slow dance moves, Sunset Sounds is the City of Stonnington’s series of FREE summer concerts. Sunset Sounds combines three fantastic live acts with some of Melbourne’s favourite food trucks in some of Melbourne’s best parks and gardens.”

Piknic Electronik: 17 January – “Piknic Électronik is a great place to meet up and enjoy beautiful summer weather and quality electronic music. Every Sunday from 17th January to 3rd April.

Midsumma Carnival: 17 January – “Midsumma Carnival kicks off the 29th festival in the Alexandra Gardens with 5 hours of free entertainment from the main stage.”

Sugar Mountain Festival: 23 January – Melbourne’s favourite summit of music and art. “Sugar Mountain is annual single-day festival in Melbourne showcasing the best in contemporary music, visual art and new media, focusing on the natural meeting points between different mediums.”

Victorian Pork & Cider Festival: 23 January – “Welcome to the first Victorian Cider & Pork Festival, held amongst the trees at the Rochford Wines estate in the Yarra Valley. This two-day festival showcases the best ciders from Victoria and around the country and the tastiest pork dishes from Melbourne’s leading chefs.”

Zoo Twilight Sessions: 29 January – “Explore the zoo at dusk at Zoo Twilights, with your favourite artists performing every Friday and Saturday night from 29 January to 12 March 2016.”

Ride The Night: 30 January – “1 night, 2 Wheels, Your City.”
