Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (28 Aug. to 4 Sept.) – There’s so much fun to be had during Spring Fashion Week and a ton of amazing free shows. Make sure to check them out in our guide.

Mario Kart 64 Tournament (9 Sept.) – How many countless hours did you spend challenging your mates on this one? Make sure to head on over to the tournament to put your hard earned skills to the test.

Tesselaar Tulip Festival (10 Sept. to until the flowers die and/or are stolen) – “In 2015 we have planted over 100,000 more Tulips than ever before, including over 120 varieties, to fit them all in we have had to expand our grounds.” If you’re making the journey to Monbulk, pack a picnic basket.

Fringe Festival Fridays (free) (18 Sept/25 Sept/2 Oct) – If you’re looking for some of the best Friday nights going make sure to get to the Arts House during the Fringe Festival. They are so many levels of epic we just can’t even! Or check out our top 10 picks of the festival.

Lucha Libre (18 Sept.) – Have you ever experienced the theatre that is Mexican wrestling? We have, it’s epic. Comic, tragic, good, evil.

Hophaus Inaugural Dachshund Race (19 Sept.) – What better way to kick off Oktoberfest is there than the Tekkelrennen, or running of the weiners. Yes, dozens of weinerdogs will be racing around Southgate. This will be too much fun to handle.

Lavazza Italian Film Festival (16 Sept to 11 October) – Check out our guide to the fest.

Drive-in Food Truck Festival (23 & 24 Sept.) – “This month, it’s got some of Melbourne’s greatest kitchens on wheels include Kurbside Kravings, Beatbox, Those Guys Food, Nuoc Mama’s Food Truck, Greek Street Food, Mr Burger, Senor Churros, Toasta, Manny’s Donut Café, Tasty Tasters, A Salted Squid, Pasta Face, Happy Camper Pizza & Bibimbap.”

Beer Appreciation Evening (30 Sept.) – “5 different beers / cider, matched with a selection of canapés, curated by Chuck Hahn – creator of Hahn and James Squire breweries.” All proceeds go to Mission Australia.
