White Night, a New Orleans Mardi Gras Festival, jazz parties — February was great! Here’s what we’re excited about in March.
Melbourne Food & Wine Festival – Sifting through the MFWF events is a herculean task, but we’ve narrowed it down to the top eight events that you should be pencilling into your diaries immediately!
Brunswick Music Festival – I have great memories of burgers and crooners at the Spotted Mallard from last year’s festival. This year’s lineup of great local talent looks a treat. Make sure to get yourselves organised for a show or two.
Good Beer Week Gala Showcase – Theresa went to this last year, and boy oh boy was it amazeballs. 23 different craft brewers showcase their wares, plus the Good Beer Week program (in May) gets launched. You’ve heard it here first: Theresa’s running an event again!
I’m New Here – “Taking place by the vines at our winery, sit back, relax and enjoy some of Melbourne’s best new music with a fully-catered selection of wood-fired pizzas, quality produce and a selection of new release wines to match.”
Comedy Festival – There are a lot of events that put the word ‘festival’ behind their name, but the Melbourne Comedy Festival does so deservedly. This is a month of world class entertainment across dozens of city locations. We’ve got a guide coming along, so keep your eyes peeled.
Peninsula Picnic – “With a country harvest atmosphere, The Peninsula Picnic takes place over one day in the leafy, sea-salted surrounds of Mornington Racecourse, and is the recipe for a regional escape.” And you can win a double pass.
If you find any other events that you think are amazing we’d love to hear about them — contact us via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or email. We’re always on the lookout to bring you the best happenings around town, but we love hearing from you too.
